Forgotten Ground Regained

Communities

This page provides a way to explore the different groups that have contributed to the modern revival of alliterative verse. These include the scholars, who researched languages, studied manuscripts, and helped translate ancient poetic texts. They include the poets and writers who have experimented with alliterative verse, Speculative Fiction writers and fans who saw the value in alliterative verse when others ignored it, members of the Society for Creative Anachronism, who love to popularize the past, and Christians and Pagans, eager to recover historical treasures from their religious traditions.
