Ron Snow
Ron Snow was a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, where he was known as Ragnar Ulfgarsson. His poem "Blardrengir Saga (The Saga of the Blue Warriors)" appears in Dennis Wise's critical anthology of modern alliterative verse. While most of his poetry was written in loose ballad meter, in rhythms strongly reminescent of Robert Service, some of them, such as his trochaic tetrameter poem, "The Outland War", make heavy use of alliteration to reflect the Norse background they were designed to emulate.
