Richard Pierce
Richard Pierce earned his Ph.D. in literature and creative writing at Texas Tech University. His poems have appeared in Tar River Poetry, New South, Ninth Letter, Poet Lore, Relief, Birmingham Poetry Review, and other journals. He has also served as Managing Editor of Iron Horse Literary Review and as Assistant Editor of Ninth Letter.
His poetry includes the alliterative free verse poems “Exhausted, Mankey Sleeps, Dreams He’s His Dead Dog, Mitch” and “Bearly” in his collection, The Book of Mankey. They also include another Mankey poem published on this site, Mitch's Choice.
