P.K. Page
P.K. Page (1916-2010) was a noted Canadian poet. She was the author of more than a dozen works of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction :(including children's books), and won the Governor's General Award for Poetry for the Metal and the Flower (1954).
Two of her alliterative verse poems, "Crow's Nest" and "George Johnston Reading", are published in Dennis Wise's critical anthology of modern alliterative verse. They were originally published in the Mahalat Review, 78, Spring, 1987. Her loosely alliterative free verse poems "After Rain", "Deaf Mute in the Pear Tree", and "Motel Pool", among others, are available on the web at Canadian Poetry Online.
