M. Wendy Hennequin is a professor of British, medieval and world literature at Tennessee State University and a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, where she is known as Mistress Finana of Clare. Her alliterative verse includes:
  • "Guðrinc’s Lament" and "Three Old English Riddles" in New Crops from Old Fields: Eight Medievalist Poets, ed. Oz Hardwick, York, England: Stairwell Books, 2015. "Guðrinc’s Lament" also appears in Dennis Wise's critical anthology of modern alliterative verse.
