Malcolm Guite is an English poet, singer-songwriter, scholar, and Anglican priest. He was for many years chaplain of Girton College, Cambridge. He has published several books of poetry, including After Prayer : New Sonnets and Other Poems (2019) and David's Crown (2021), and a variety of other works, including Beholding the Glory: Incarnation through the Arts (2000), The Singing Bowl (2013), Mariner: A Voyage with Samuel Taylor Coleridge (2017) and Lifting the Veil: Imagination and the Kingdom of God (2021)
His alliterative verse includes Tree and Leaf from The Singing Bowl and Empty, from After Prayer.
