John Heath-Stubbs
John Heath-Stubbs was an English poet (1918-2006), most noted for his poems influenced by classical myths and his long alliterative poem, Artorius. An excerpt from Artorius, "Merddyns Fable" appears in Dennis Wise's critical anthology of modern alliterative verse. Dennis Wise has also written a guide to the poem, A Schema for Artorius, which may be useful as it is a complex postmodern poem.
