Jeffrey Leiser is a film and concert composer, sound artist, and screenwriter. He has written scores and sound designs for 4 feature films and more than 30 short films. One, Glitch in the Grid, earned him a Gold Medal at the Park City Film Music Festival. His compositions have also featured in various art exhibitions, such as “Hologalactic” and “Anthropic Principle” (which was part of the Whitney Museum’s Dreamlands exhibition.) His screenplays include Finding Infinity, a biopic on Georg Cantor. His debut symphony, The Summit (2015, from Discovery Music + Vision) received favorable reviews from Gramophone Magazine and ClassicFM. His first full-length opera, “Far Travelers,” set in the Viking age, has garnered two cultural grants and is currently being orchestrated. Jeffrey is represented by Bright Media in the UK.
His first full-length opera, Freydis and Gudrid, is also his first venture into alliterative verse. The libretto is available from Albino Fawn Productons; the full opera, from Amazon Prime.
