Jane Beal, PhD/MFA is a poet. Among her poetry collections are Sanctuary, Rising, and Song of the Selkie, eight haiku micro-chaps, and three audio recording projects, “Songs from the Secret Life,” “Love-Song,” and “The Jazz Bird.” She is editor and translator of the alliterative Middle English dream vision, Pearl (Broadview, 2020). She also writes magical realist fiction, creative nonfiction, literary criticism, and music. She is a member of the faculty at the University of La Verne and UC Davis in California.
