Frank Coffman is a retired professor of English and journalism at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois. A traditional formalist poet, his speculative verse spans the genres of Horror & the Supernatural, Science Fiction, Fantasy and other popular modes. His poetry collections include: This Ae Nighte, EveryNighte and Alle (chapbook, 2018); The Coven’s Hornbook & Other Poems (2019); Black Flames & Gleaming Shadows (2020); Eclipse of the Moon (2021), and What the Night Brings (2023). His collection of occult detective stories, Three Against the Dark: Collected Dr. Venn Detective Mysteries wasalso published in 2023. He is a member of the Horror Writers Association and the Science Fiction & Fantasy Poetry Association. He is the founder and moderator of the Weird Poets Society.
