Forgotten Ground Regained
Ezra Pound
Ezra Pound (1885-1972) was a major modernist poet. One of his most important works was his Cantos. His Canto I, written in a form intended to recall Old English alliterative verse, despite its classical subject matter, is one of the founding poems of the modernist movement of the early twentieth century, along with his translation of the Old English poem "The Seafarer".
