Forgotten Ground Regained

Contributor: Charles Harrison Wallace

Charles Harrison Wallace had an extremely varied background. Born of naval parents, he lived in France, Germany, Iran, Kenya, Scandinavia, Baffin Island, and England, and worked variously as a cavalry officer, book dealer, newspaper sub-editor, management consultant, entrepreneur, art historian, and translator.
His translation of the Seafarer reflects a long term interest in the poem, reflected in the Seafarer website he ran until recently.
