Amit Majmudar is an American novelist and poet, appointed as the first poet laureate of Ohio in 2015.
His poetry often is structured in half-lines, replicating Old English verse rhythms (often loosely alliterative, though usually without structural alliteration). It includes:
  • Promise in World Literature
  • The Border in Poetry London
  • Daedalus in Plough
  • The Grail Quest in America: The Jesuit Review
  • Bloodline and Chilicothe Apostrophe from What He Did in Solitary
  • In the House of the Frost Giant in Revell Literary
