Forgotten Ground Regained

Anne Carson

Literary agent: Massie & McQuilken
Anne Carson is a Canadian poet, translator, and scholar, and artist-in-residence at New York University.
Her alliterative poetry includes a translation of Book 23 of Nonnus' Dionysiaca.
This particular poem is a classic example of alliterative free verse, where alliteration is used systematically to link and emphasize prosodic phrases, but the links happen both within and across lines.
