Forgotten Ground Regained

Unfathomable (Isaiah 40:25-31)

Kathryn Ann Hill
Isaiah 40: 25-31 is read on the 4th Sunday of Easter.
“To whom will you compare Me?” the Holy One asks.“Or who is My equal in all the earth?”Lift up your eyes and look to the heavensand see who established this starry array. It is He who brings out His army of starsto the night sky, numbering eachand naming each; and not one is missing, because of His mighty power and potent strength.
O Jacob, O Israel, I ask you now,why do you say, “My way is hidden,my cause is forgotten by God the Lord”?Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord our God is ever living. His might created the ends of the earth. He never faints, He never wearies. His comprehension transcends human kenning. He empowers the faint, filling them with strength.Even youth shall faint and young men fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall be lifted up;they shall mount up like mighty eagles;they shall run unwearied, and walk unfatigued.
