Forgotten Ground Regained

Contributor: Susan Frances Edwards (Tuilinde)

Review by Dennis Wise.
Susan Edwards is a British fantasy author and poet. A long-term resident of Whitehaven in West Cumbria, England, she was for many years an active member of the Tolkien Society, where she went by the Quenya name Tuilinde ("Sprint Singer"). She hosted Omentielva (the International Conference on J.R.R. Tolkien’s Invented Languages) in Witehaven in 2009. She has also published two novels (The Great Gifts and Draakoa in Danger) and Beauty, Light and Music: Poetry and Prose, a collection of her poetry and fiction..
Her alliterative poetry incudes “Ancient Entities Enduring Eternity” in Beauty, Light and Music: Poetry and Prose and two poems she published in Mallorn, the Journal of the Tolkien Society:
  • Slaying the Dragon (Mallorn 49, p. 42; also published in Beauty, Light and Music:Poetry and Prose)
  • The Paths of the Dead (Mallorn 51, p. 34)
