Michael Simms is a poet, author, editor, publisher, and teacher from Pittsburgh, PA. His publications include poetry collections (Migration, 1985; American Ash, 2020, Nightjar, 2021, and Strange Meadowlark, 2023), two poetry textbooks, and several novels, including Bicycles of the Gods: A Divine Comedy (2021) and the Talon Trilogy (2023-2024), consisting of The Green Mage, Windkeep and The Blessed Isle. He is the founder and editor of Autumn House Press, which has published more than 100 books, including the bestselling Autumn House Anthology of Poetry, now in its third edition. Simms has taught at various universities, including Chatham University’s MFA program (2005-2013).
