Ailbhe Darcy is a poet and a critic and teaches in the School of English, Communication and Philosophy at Cardiff University. Her long poem in alliterative verse, "Alphabet", appeared in her collection Insistence, which was shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize in 2018 and won Wales Book of the Year and the Pigott Prize for Poetry in association with Listowel Writers' Week.
