Ryan Wilson is Editor-in-Chief of Literary Matters. His books include: The Stranger World (winner of the Donald Justice Poetry Prize); How to Think Like a Poet (winner of the Jacques Maritain Non-Fiction Prize), Proteus Bound: Selected Translations: 2008-2020; and In Ghostlight (LSU, 2024). His work appears in 32 Poems, Birmingham Poetry Review, First Things, Five Points, Hopkins Review, Image ,The New Criterion, Quarterly West, Sewanee Review, & Yale Review, and has been anthologized in Best American Poetry and Christian Poetry in American Since 1940. C.F.O. of the ALSCW & co-editor of the anthology, Contemporary Catholic Poetry (Paraclete, 2024). he teaches at the Catholic University of America and in the M.F.A. program at the University of St. Thomas-Houston.
His work includes the alliterative verse poem Heorot, published in the Sewannee Review.
