Lindy Newns lives in Manchester, England and regularly hosts Mostly Manchester Stanza poetry group. She started out as a playwright and was shortlisted for national awards as well as winning the Liverpool International One Act play competition, but a change of career to teaching ate up her time and she swerved to poetry. Which actually takes up almost as much time, but she's working part time, so it works.
Her poetry and flash fiction has appeared in Orbis, Acumen, Riggwelter, L’Ephemere, Popshot, and various anthologies including Poems for Grenfell and she is a regular reader at various open mics in and around Manchester.
Her poetry on this site includes AREA C and Our Love is a Carnival Ride in Issue 10.
