Forgotten Ground Regained

James Merrill

James Merrill (1926-1995) was an American poet. He won the Pulitzer Prize for poetry in 1977 for Divine Comedies. Other major work includes The Changing Light at Sandover. His alliterative verse includes the poem "Rescue" in A Scattering of Salts.
