Brandon Sanderson

Brandon Sanderson is an American Science Fiction and Fantasy author, best know for his Mistborn series and the Stormlight Archives.
His alliterative verse includes a series of spells -- “I live the last light …”, “I banished the beast …”, “Word-Weaver I am …”, “I find you faulty …”, “Of measured meter …”, and “I defy you …” -- chanted by characters in his novel, The Frugal Wizard’s Handbook for Surviving Medieval England. He also wrote (but never published) an alliterative poem, "Wyrn the King", set in the world of Elantris, because "it was TERRIBLE".
