Forgotten Ground Regained
X: Fyr
This poem describes an actual moment sensed, the only mode available when pondering the Logos of Heraclitus by Eva Brann, as I attempted to visualize the paradoxical unity and differentiation that she describes.
The mundane mind grapples · to grasp and measure growthwhen surreptitiously dissipates · a seen and destined path.Sprayed with solvent words · speech dissolves the worldand touched tensions relax · their taut revealing tones. So harmony may be heard · in the harried man’s hearing.A sphere of strings lines up · the sounds super-strayingas points collapse · and purpose proposes everything,an integrated overwhelming · of one idea:Whole: holes—Timeless: Time. The faculty captured: roams free, and soul sees wisdom · and suffers willful beauty
