Forgotten Ground Regained
This Moment
Lord, we languish, lost and lonely, herein a world where want and woe are rarebut firm, full-hearted faith is too, and fearand sadness stun as many as Satan scared,so many moons ago. Make us morealive, and able to love, and let us leaveour family farm, the earth, a field of fore-shadowed fullness, sure-shared sheavesof harvest wholeness whose heavy, hearty heapingmay bring blessings and bounty to bone-tired boys and girls.O Lord, in whose light we long to lie down sleepingand sound, and save our souls–for we're the world'schildren–and their–or our–grandchildren too.Lord, we are lost, lonely, and leaning on you.
