Donald Mace Williams
On the high mesa · where mustangs posed, new presences · playing, feeding:Lipizzaners, · long-backed and elegant, rearing whitely, · radiant hooved, princely bodies · pawing in unisonas if sky were soil · and snow coveredtheir airy fodder, · Aeolian hay.Fruitful their scraping · for such herds nowmount the skylines · of many a range, proliferant, pale, · looming and grand,Wayland’s remudas · windily pastured.
