Forgotten Ground Regained
As with One Mouth
This poem is meant for antiphonal singing or speaking. The words in Roman type would belong to a single chanter or speaker. The words in italics indicate the refrains to be sung or spoken by a choir or congregation.
In the midst of the fire, the three young men unfurled their praise to their faithful God,who sent His Angel to enter the ovenand drive from the furnace the fiery flame.In the midst of the furnace, He moistened the airwith a whistling wind to whisk awaythe fire’s harm: unhurt, untroubled,untouched by the flames, the trio rejoicedto praise their Lord and laud their Savior.As with one mouth they magnified His might:
“Blessed are You, O Lord, the everlasting God,the true and faithful God of our fathers:
- Worthy of praise and honor forever and ever.
And blessed is Your great and glorious name,the holiest name in heaven and on earth:
- Worthy of praise and honor forever and ever.
Blessed are You in Your temple, the temple of Your glory,the holiest place in the whole world:
- Worthy of praise and honor forever and ever.
Blessed are You whose chair is the cherubim,as You pierce the darkness of the depths below:
- Worthy of praise and honor forever and ever.
Blessed are You upon the throne of Your sublime kingdom:
- Worthy of praise and honor forever and ever.
Blessed are You in the heights of heaven above:
- Worthy of praise and honor forever and ever.

All rain and dew, now adore the Lord:

You fire and heat, now hail the Lord:

Dews and snowstorms, now sing to the Lord:

O knowing Hananiah, nourished by grace,and righteous Azariah, rescued by God,and faithful Mishael, God-fearing man,now bless the Lord who lives to save:
- Sing out your praise to His sacred name

For He has rescued us from hell and the hand of death,and saved us from the fury of the fire’s flames.Give thanks to the Lord and laud His name,for our glorious God is gracious and good:
- For His mercy to men, His marvelous kindness,
- endures without end, forever and ever.
All who worship the Lord, now laud the Lord,the God of gods, glorious and gracious;give thanks to the Lord and laud His name:
