Forgotten Ground Regained

Margaret Noodin is an American poet, a teacher of the Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe) language, and professor of English and Native American studies at the University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee. Her publications include Weweni: Poems in Anishinaabemowin and English (2015) and What the Chickadee Knows (2020). Her alliterative free verse poem, What the Peepers Say, was first published in H.E. Erdrich, ed., New Poets of Native Nations (2018) and in What the Chickadee Knows. It was also reprinted on this site, in Issue 5, Winter, 2025.
Her review of Matthew Brennan's "The Sea-Crossing of Saint Brendan" appeared in Forgotten Ground Regained: A Quarterly Journal of Alliterative Verse, New Series, Issue 6, Spring, 2025.
